Small Whale & Flower {Pattern}


These two simple easy patterns you can put on just about anything. for my I put them on paper clips for mini bookmarks. 

I will try and put the meaning to the abbreviations for the pattern on each post. I've had a few messages about new crocheters who aren't familiar with the abbreviations yet.

Mini Flower

Materials:

Skill level: Easy
Size hook : 2.75 mm
Stitch marker
Scissors 
Tapestry or yarn needle
Any medium size yarn

Abbreviations:

mm - millimeter 
Ch - chain 
Sl St - slip stitch 
Dc - double crochet 
* - Repeat from

Pattern:

Magic Ring, ch 1, 3 dc, sl st, ch 1, 3 dc. * sl st, ch 1, 3 dc. Wroking from * until you have 5 petals in the magic ring, sl st, fasten off.

Note:
If you do not know how to do a magic ring you can ch 4, sl st in the first st.

Mini Whale 

Materials:

Skill level: Easy
Size hook : 3.50 mm
Stitch marker
Scissors 
Tapestry or yarn needle
Any medium size yarn

Abbreviations:

mm - millimeter 
Ch - chain 
sts - stitches 
Sl St - slip stitch 
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - Half double crochet
Dc - double crochet 
Rnd(s) - Round(s)
* - Repeat from

Pattern:

Magic ring, ch 1, 7 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st across 
Rnd 3: 1 sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next st, * 1 sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st.
Row 4: Ch 6, turn, 2 hdc 1 dc in the next st, sl st in the next 2 sts, Ch 2, turn, 2 hdc 1 dc in the next st, sl st in the same st.
Row 5: Sl st in the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in the nest st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts.
Row 6: 1 hdc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 1 sc in the next st, sl st in the next 4 sts, fasten off. 

For the eyes and mouth you can do just about anything, I simply used yarn on my yarn needle making a knot in front for the eye.
