Granny Square With a Flower {Pattern}

This pattern for Granny Square with a Flower is easy to crochet and easy to adjust to what ever it is your wanting to make. You can change colors for each row or keep it all one color.
Skill Level: Intermediate
<------ To make this size you will need: Light weight yarn and a 4.5 mm (7) crochet hook.

For my granny square I went a little big.
Materials: Medium weight, Size 4 yarn.
Red Heart Supper Saver in Heather Gray.
Crochet Hook:  J/10 6:00 mm

Special Abbreviations:
3 trbb (3 treble babble) * yarn over hook twice, insert hook in designated stick, yarn over hook and draw it through stitch, (yarn over hook and draw it through 2 loops on hook) 2 times, repeat from * 2 more times, yarn over hook and draw it through all 4 loops on hook.







Row 1: Ch 6, sl st in first ch to form ring, or Magic Ring. Ch 2 16 dc in ring.
Row 2: Sl st in first dc, ch 4, skip 1 dc (sc in next dc, ch 3, skip 1 dc) 7 times, sc in same dc as first sl st. (work over the sl st and next ch st)
8 Chain spaces.









Row 3: Ch1, (sc, ch1, 3dc, ch1, sc) in each ch space around, sl st in first sc: 56 sts.

Row 4: Sl st in the next 3 sts, ch6, (skip 6 sts, sc in next st ch 5) 7 times , skip first 2 sl st made on round, sc in same st as third sl st on round (work over the sl st and next ch st, sl st in ch 6 spaces) 8 ch spaces. (you want to sc in the middle dc sts.)
Row 5: Ch 2, *7dc in next ch spaces, ch 2, 3trbb, ch 2, 3trbb, ch 2, 3trbb, ch 2 in the next ch spaces, repeat from * 3 more times, sl st in first dc: 28 dc, 12 3trbb, 16 ch spaces. 
Row 6: Ch 2, * dc in next 3 dc ( be careful not to skip first dc) Ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next ch space, ch 1, 5 dc in next ch space, ch 1, 5 dc in next ch space, Repeat from * 3 more times, sl st in first dc. 96 sts.
(For smaller size this is where you finish off.)
Row 7: ch 1, sc in next st and in ever st until you get to corner st 2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc. in ever corner stitch. sl st in ch 1 space, finish off.
And there you have it a pretty Granny Square with a Flower!
